We are relaxing at the Sheraton in our 11th floor
balcony room. The large glass door is
open, a warm breeze blowing into our room.
From somewhere beneath us Latin music is playing. A small airplane takes off at a small strip
between us and the Pan American pier where we can see the Jewel of the Sea is securely
moored being prepared for the our arrival, and that of 2,200 fellow
passengers. A large church with towering
Spanish architecture sits prominently against the horizon; white against blue. It is time to check out…
